Ever had the thought that God is mad or disappointed with you due to what you have or haven’t done? Well, He is not but it has nothing to do with you. Because of Jesus Christ we are not condemned before God when we sin (miss the mark).
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? -Romans 8:31-35
When God looks at us He sees us through the sacrifice of Jesus so when you sin God is not bringing down the hammer BUT you have opened up access to the enemy in your life through sin. That is exactly the time to come “boldly to the throne of grace to receive help mercy and grace in your time of need.“(Hebrews 4:15)
As a follower of Jesus, your right standing before God is complete but when you sin you give satan legal access to your life. Coming before God and repenting (decide and act to go the other direction) shuts any access doors in your life from the enemy and clears communication with the Father. Never hesitate to come to God when you miss the mark, He is waiting with open arms not a hammer.
Hi Pastor Dave,
Miss seeing you guys. But, I get to read your thoughts on the website. May Jesus bless you in all you and Laura do in Malibu and beyond! Still believing that Jesus will open a place that we can afford in Malibu (miracle zone.) Miracles are the currency of the Kingdom, so why not?
Love you guys,
